Fully Hydraulically Driven, Specifically Designed For Underground Exploration
Based on 20 years of field exploration experience, ASDRILL's X5 series hydraulic underground drill rig is a specialized core sampling device designed for enclosed and semi-enclosed spaces such as underground mine tunnels. The underground drill features a fully hydraulic transmission and modular design, allowing it to navigate narrow tunnel passages. Equipped with a high-power diesel engine (an electric motor is optional for tunnel power supply), the equipment, coupled with a load-sensitive hydraulic system, enables precise control of drilling, feeding, and lifting operations.
The hydraulic underground drill rig is compatible with drill rods ranging from Φ56-Φ90 mm and can drill holes to depths of 200-700 meters (depending on the model). It can perform multi-directional drilling operations, including vertical, inclined (0-90°), and horizontal, meeting key requirements in geological exploration, such as core sampling, structural exploration, and hydrological surveys. Furthermore, the intelligent control system and data acquisition module enable real-time recording of parameters such as drilling depth, rotational speed, and pressure, providing reliable support for accurate analysis of exploration data.

Components of X5 Hydraulic Underground Drill Rig
Power Head
The power head primarily consists of a motor, gearbox, and spring chuck. The power head chuck and drill pipe holder are synchronously controlled and equipped with a breaker for easy drill pipe removal, improving drilling efficiency.
| Max. Speed RPM | 1000RPM |
| Max. Torque | 700Nm |
| Through-Hole Dia | 97mm |
| Holding Capactly | 90KN |
Drill Rod Holder
The drill rod holder features a mold spring clamp and hydraulically opened, normally closed design. In the event of a loss of hydraulic pressure, it automatically closes, securing the drill rod for safety and reliability.
| Through-Hole Dia | 97mm |
| Holding Capactly | 90KN |
Feed Machine
Board Feed and Extraction are both hydraulically driven, offering a compact design, high feed force, easy maintenance, and long life.
| Feed Stroke | 1600 mm |
| Feed Force/Extraction Force | 65KN/90KN |
| Feed Speed | 0.5 m/s |
Power Cart
The motor is equipped with a dual variable pump, a 230L oil tank, and suction/return oil filters. The hydraulic oil is cooled by a water-cooled chiller, and an electric oil pump is also included.
| Rated Power | 55 kW |
| Main Pump Maximum Flow | 140 L/min |
| Main Pump Maximum Pressure | 25 MPa |
| Auxiliary Pump Maximum Flow | 40 L/min |
| Auxiliary Pump Maximum Pressure | 20 MPa |
Operation Table
The operator table features a pilot control system, offering high integration, simple and labor-saving operation, and low hydraulic shock. The optional load-sensing system ensures high efficiency and energy saving.
Base
The horizontal turntable allows the drill rig to rotate 360° horizontally when the base is securely anchored. This is ideal for drilling multiple holes from a single location, significantly reducing labor intensity and improving exploration efficiency.
Rope Winch
Fixed to the base bracket, rotates with the machine body.

Applications
Used for in-depth exploration, ore body boundary delineation, resource reserve verification, and accurate core sampling in underground gold, copper, and iron mines, providing data support for mining planning.
Applicable to underground geological structure detection, gas outburst prediction, and hydrogeological surveys in coal, phosphate, and limestone mines to ensure mining safety.
During railway and highway tunnel construction, this system is used for advanced geological forecasting (detecting potential hazards such as faults and water inflows ahead) and for assessing the stability of the surrounding rock mass around the tunnel, thereby reducing construction risks.
It is used for the detection and investigation of underground caverns and goafs, providing a basis for the development of management plans for geological hazards such as landslides and ground collapses.
